Scott has an eclectic set of styles, ranging from the comedic, to the dramatic, and from clever concepts, to the tastefully simple. This diversity of styles is a result of his desire to tailor every project to fit the client’s message, while creating a unique look that cuts through the normally bland landscape of ‘rinse and repeat’ advertising. “A commercial is like a small movie,” Scott said. “Both need to convey a story to sell something; be it an idea, or a product. In both cases, the story can be comedic, sad, dramatic, romantic, adventurous, etc, and in both cases, the same tools are used. With commercials, it’s just done on a much smaller budget and time scale. The challenge in advertising, as with film, is to discover the best way to tell the story.”
